About our subtitling courses
Our subtitling course in The Netherlands was so successful, that we made several English versions.
The Comprehensive Subtitling Course is meant for professionals-to-be who want to learn subtitling according to the highest standards. While doing the course, though, you work with the free trial version of Spot.
The Template-making Course, with freeware Subtitle Workshop, is meant to give the opportunity to anyone anywhere in the world with a good knowledge of English, to learn how to make subtitling templates without having to buy expensive subtitling software.
Subtitling and template-making can only be learned by doing. That's why our courses are hands-on. They are focused on active learning, learning-by-doing.
All the different subtitling rules have to be applied at the same time, which is only possible through unconscious mental processes. That's what the courses are designed for: while practicing, your brain gradually will learn to apply most of the rules automatically.
